I held you in my arms
Since the day you were born
I saw you grow up
Some of the way

I see you in my dreams
Which never fade away
I watch you in your sleep
Just like many did to me

I feed you all that was needed
Through some course of your lifetime
I read to you every night
That I was in contact with you

But most of all
You were in my life
For as long it was possible
Just now leave without me,
And ill be right behind you
