All She Ever Wanted

Shes content to drown
In the thing that we call life
Standing on the sunset
She lets her hair fall down
As she slowly walks away
She feels so worthless
Once again she’s bruised
Sneaks back in so silent
Feeling so forgotten
Cries herself to sleep
As if she ever cared
When all she ever wanted...

She wants to be in love
She wants to hear she’s beautiful
She wants to be the summer
She just wants to live

She’s content to live
In the place that she calls home
Gone again by dawn
No one hears her leave
As she slowly walks away
She dreams of better days
When love isn’t pain
And people seem alive
Feeling torn and broken
Laughs her fears away
As if she ever cared
When all she ever wanted...

She wants to be in love
She wants to know she’s beautiful
She wants to be the rain
She just wants to breathe

She’s content to live alone
Looking to find her place
The place that they’ll call home
Drowning in the sunset
She dreams of better days
When someone would finally see her
Cause all she ever wanted,
All she needs to know is...

She needs to know she’s beautiful
She needs to know she’s loved
She needs to know she’s gonna be alright
She just needs someone to say

You’re all I ever wanted. You can be summer. And you can be my rain.
