I picture you in my mind
I wonder what I might find
Hidden battle scars
Of memories of upturned cars
Or maybe a tear
Of your crimson fear
Of what will be of tomorrow
What sweet bitter sorrow
I watch you lay down your head
And dream of the dead
You reach out to them
In a world way too dim
They turn away
As night turns to day
You are awaken
Breath too short to be taken
You see me watching you
And notice the room is built to two
While you bite your lower lip
You take a comforting dip
In a world of caring people
