October Passed

October’s passed, and you’re still not here.

The leaves they start to fall, and then they disappear.

Where are you, why can’t I see?

I wait for you, but it’s just me.

My cheeks are red, from waiting in the snow.

November’s way long passed, yes I know.

And still I wait, watching the snowflakes fall

Still no sign, of your distant call.

Now it’s May, the sun has come once more.

But you’re still gone, just as before.

Flowers bloom, the birds sing their song.

You’re still not here, I guess it’s been that long.

It’s so hot again, and you’re nowhere in sight.

It’s July now, I want to hold you tight.

It’s so playful now, as the sun shines through.

It’s been quite a while, since I’ve seen you.

Again, October’s passed, and still you’re not here.

And when October passed again, all these things came clear.

I guess some things, after all, aren’t mean to last.

And that’s it, October Passed.
