Welcome to My Mind
Do we choose our destiny?
Can we cheat fate?
In life can we find our soul's one true mate?
By the time we die is it to late?
Do destiny and fate intertwine?
If true love comes and passes us by,
is that our one and only time?
And as we close our eyes one last time
are we no longer part of the twist and twine
of the powers that make up our lives?
As all these things go through my mind
I am slowly running out of time.
Welcome to my mind.
For as the darkness surrounds my eyes
I leave you now to ponder fate.
