Life's End

When death's subtle ways become known to heart,
the fear in our eyes and minds fade away.
The anxieties which gripped our souls depart;
calmness weighs less on spirits each day.

As we close in and the end is near us,
our destination is arriving fast;
the hectic world around does not fear us.
In our mind lives memories of the past.

The mission of our life is completing.
Agone distresses worry us no more.
With all our strengths and youth now depleting,
Discard of old feuds, resentments, and wars.

The tale of life is about to be closed;
Last sentence of our years is now composed.
