To have and to hold
For eternity,
To cherish and care for
Till you cease to breathe,
The vows of lovers
Such as these
I pray to hear
From you to me.
In Life, my Eden,
You've become a place;
A tree of beauty,
Of peerless grace,
Whose fruit I long for
Yet dare not partake,
My forbidden fruit:
Your sweet embrace.
You'll never know this;
I dare not speak
Of the love for you
I hold so deep.
To just be near you
I must keep
This secret dormant;
Put to sleep.
