As I listen to the rain, I think of my love
And how, just like the rain, she came from above
Her presence is like the sun that brightens my day
As the sun clears the rain, her love takes my pain
Her eyes like a rainbow after the storm
A loving look that keeps my heart warm
Her lips are sweet like fragrance after a spring shower
And from them come words with comforting power
Her body like a rose, it's fullness in bloom
So beautiful, lovely, soft, like silk on a loom
As I watch the rain fall from above
I listen to it kiss the ground as I think of my love
