Step by step, I walk through life.

Through joy and sorrow, through peace and strife.

And all through this journey, I never asked why

That I had been born, or why I would die.

Though others have watched, as I walk alone,

They walk on their own, on pathways of stone.

I can see them, and they can see me.

But we cannot stop, we can never be free.

But something seems wrong ,on the roads that we go,

Our dreams tell us stop, but instead we just slow.

Life makes us keep going, till our paths just will end,

But I liked to imagine that the paths were pretend..

Then one day, just like the others,

My own pathway met with another’s.

My life had a purpose, I now had a friend,

So we walked our paths together, never lonely again.
