I see you as you lie there
Hiding in your bed
Thinking- more like praying
That it's all just in your head
Like those evil glowing eyes
And that low rasping sound
Just your imagination, right?
There's nothing bad around
But I'm lurking in the shadows
Always watching, always near
I'm creating all your nightmares
And feeding off your fear
For so long I have waited
But tonight will be the night
Go on, little one, close your eyes
And pull the covers tight
Soon you will be sleeping
And I'll emerge from out your dream
Good thing I "took care" of mommy
So she won't hear you scream
Just curl up, my child
And start counting the sheep
I can no longer fight this hunger
So enjoy your final sleep
