I wrote this a while back for a dear friend who works as an executive
secretary at a large medical assurance company. She never really complained
about her job, but I could tell. lol.

I hope you enjoy it.

I hope your day
goes very well
The day is Monday
the day from hell

I shelter myself
from the rain in the sky
The coffee is crappy
I give it a try

The ride to the office
is long and hard
I hate that damn
security guard

The first man I see
throws a kiss at me
I boldly tell him
to go climb a tree

I’m sick of this crap
I think I will quit
I look in my wallet
I’ll stay just a bit

Before I sit down
I’m ready for break
Smoking my butt
for as long as it takes

On the way in
I step on some candy
The day just began
and it’s been a dandy

I fake my way though
the long a.m. hours
the weatherman called
for afternoon showers

It figures I think
but tomorrows a new day
By two o’clock
that’s not what I say

The big fat boss
asks me to stay late
And I say to myself
oh that’s just great

The computer has decided
to take a dive
I don’t think the brown man
has ever arrived

My office chair has
a mind of it’s own
the volume is out
on my telephone

I want to ditch out
I want to go home
I know I can do it
I am all alone

I make my way home
in my trusty car
I open the door
and head to the bar

Each bottle is empty
I slump my head
I strip off my clothes
and go to bed

I know tomorrow is
a brand new day
But try to have a good day
anyway.
