The Cancer Won

You always had a smile,
You taught us right from wrong,
But now you're gone for only a while,
Hopefully it won't be for to long.

I try hard not to blame myself,
Because of everything that went wrong,
For I was the one with perfect health,
But now for everyone I must stand strong.

The very pain I am going through,
Is nothing comparable to yours.
You died so many years to few,
And now every ones heart sores.

We know you didn't want to leave.
We did everything we could have done.
But sometimes it's just too hard to believe,
That in the end the cancer won.

- Unfortunately, I am going through this pain now. I just recently lost my
father from cancer.
