She was there for me as I was for her
No matter the weather or situation
I would run over her house to cry on her shoulder
She’d be there for me, just like I would be the next day for her
A simple walk to the grocery store would be made into an adventure
A venture your pitiful little mind could never think up
Endless inside jokes and imaginary games
Literal hours spent on the phone
Inseparable they said; twins at heart.

Was the bond genuine or artificial?
Is it the vital facts of life that no matter how true you may be –
You still have a drop of envy?
The truth is, Envy can kill
“You are dead to me”
Is what you said to me.

When you conspire against me with such a cold heart
How can you sleep when the clock proves darkness –
Do you sit and wonder or think and ponder?
Does your conscience eat at you to the point of emptiness?
You left me here screaming for you
Funny thing is- you can’t even hear me

How can it be that the curtain is closing on me?
How can this be?
Is this in actuality reality or a delusional illusion?
I sit her in complete solitude
My time is up, for my confidence is down

She was confused in choosing between her friend and her potential foe
But, she was not confused to say “Goodbye”
