I’ve seen the black in white
I’ve seen the wrong in right
But what am I suppose to see
When there’s no road in sight?

I guess I’ll stick it out till the end
Make contradiction my best friend
And if I push you down on the way
Know that I didn’t mean to offend

The way people treat me is a little vile
Walk all over me like kitchen tiles
But at the end I’ll repeat to myself
It was worth the while

Engulfed by my own self pain
I’ll drown it with my champagne
All I need is one more glass
And then I can ignore the rain

Just because I don’t live in denial
You all think that I’m juvenile
But your empty words and stares
Are the things that make me smile

The sweat, the blood, and all the tears
The introduction to my worst fears
Life can’t bring me down in heaven
But it can when I’m standing here
