Please Don't

Please don’t dabble in my humility,
Its only breaks my heart.
Please don’t dwell on my demerits,
It tears my soul apart.
Please don’t laugh at me or taunt me,
Not too much anyway.
Please don’t scare me with the monsters,
Instead, chase them away.
Please don’t avoid me when I’m sick,
With a slight cold or the flu.
Please don’t leave me in the rain,
I’d not do that to you.
Please don’t forget to laugh,
A smile always helps,
Please don’t forget to cry,
I’ve shed tears myself.
Please don’t leave me in the rain,
Without a shelter in the cold.
Please don’t walk too far away,
My hand is yours to hold.
Please don’t just say goodbye,
Instead just say goodnight.
Please don’t turn and run away,
In a bout of spite.
Please don’t drone my funeral dirge,
Sing my rhapsody instead.
Please don’t forget to dance,
The world’s a lively spread.
Please don’t forget these words,
Please hold true to what they say.
Please keep me in your heart.
And love me everyday.
