How come nothing ever goes my way
I’m sick of waiting for something good to occur
I’m wasting away my past, present and future

I can not give up
I will not quit
I will survive through all of it

All the pain I can not just erase
I gotta find a way to finish at my own pace
I will overcome all the struggles that come and go
I’m forever holding, I will not let go

I will stay straight edge as best as I can
I will not have to depend on a man
I wiil be independent
And learn as I go
No longer will blood and tears have to flow

I will take some action
My time is now
I will succeed somehow

I will make better choices
And make better friends
I will guarantee myself success in the end

This is my anthem
I will try to live by
And I will achieve my goals
And live all my dreams

I’m going to spread my wings
And teach myself to fly
Because this is my anthem
Until I die…
