Back in the day before I had responsibility
Back then I was young and carefree
Things were different I had no choices
I only the pain
I use to think when I got older things would be fun
I was young
Back then life was survival
And now I am a mother
Today I stress and worry
And I get scared easy
But I try not to pass on my pain
Because he needs no fears
Back in the day I lived to get by
Now I am a mother
I live for others
