Death For Love

All those nights I heard you cry
Deep down inside I knew why.
You never said a word
You never cried a tear
You never spoke a lie
Unless it was for your own fear,
Fear for life
Fear for death
Fear for nothing but this mess.
You took your life one cold night
Just because it felt right.

Some think it’s a lie
Some believe it’s true
Some never really knew you.
When they put your body in the ground
Everyone made a mound,
A mound of roses for your death
Because people knew it was the best,
The best way they could show their love,
The love you forgot.

I knew you asked every night
Is love a fight?
When I ask people what they thought
They said you fought,
Fought for love until you died
Now it’s goodbye,
Goodbye my friend, we’ll meet again
But now it’s just the end.
