His eyes were like oceans
that deep dark blue
when we looked at them
all thoughts went askew
but one day something changed
the life in his eyes
just wasn't the same
everyone wondered
who to blame

He walked the hallways
looking down
when we inquired
he sighed with reply
everyone started pondering why
we missed what was right before us
not only was he crying
but he was dying
