Im sleeping so soundly,
planning not to awake.
arising from movement,
from my dads shake.
he tells me to run,
and says its coming fast.
we barely made it though the hall,
now everywhere theres glass.
I dont know whats going on,
were sitting on the stairs.
we didnt make it all the way down,
theres no light anywhere.
The wind is blowing everywhere,
i can not see a thing.
the wall just crashed on top of us,
all i can do is scream.
Struggling not to blow away,
gripping to the stairs.
I knew I wouldn’t make it out,
I’m saying my last prayers.
in seconds it is over,
I don’t know what to do.
I thought we all were goners,
but I guess we made it through.
my mom stepped on a piece of glass,
we finally got it out.
we couldn’t find a flashlight,
but the lightning helped us out.
we found our way through the mess,
and finally reached the door.
the house i lived in all my life,
is not there anymore.....

Don’t take life for granted
and don’t procrastinate.
Don’t ever say “ill do it later”
it then might be too late....
