Smoldering Ashes

A murdered teddy bear
A lighted match slides through my fingers,
incinerating memories.
All the words we ever shared gone up in flames.
Torching all these things i hold so dear,
reminding me of when you were here.
As the roses wilt in the fire of my lost passions.
The flames engulfed the past.
The flames grew higher, fueled by past desires of my yesterday.
As I stand here above the smoldering soot of what my life once was,
I wonder if it will really be over or will i be forever haunted by the
past.
The smell of charcoaled plastic and gasoline.
whats left of our life together is lost forever in the ashes.
