Don't you make her cry

I've seen you when you're with her,
I know just how you act,
I know that you're a dirty cheat,
And honey that's a fact.
You tell her that you love her,
But your eyes are cold as stone,
You are her boyfriend aren't you?
She's never felt so alone.
I've seen you with other people,
You're a flirt and thats for sure,
I'm surprised she stays with you at all,
But it's cos her heart is pure.
You make her cry all night,
Nothings gonna be alright,
Her eyes don't look too bright,
She's lost her special light.

Don't you make her cry,
Cos if you do I'm gonna know,
Stop your cheating ways,
Let your heart get out and go,
Don't you make her cry,
Her tears are always clear,
Stop breaking her gentle heart,
If you do I'm gonna be near.

She's my best friend and I love her,
But I wish she'd listen to me,
I tell her "that boy's got a lot to answer for",
You'd be better off free.
She loves him too much to leave him,
But he's letting her down again,
She sees him walking with a young girl,
Watches him kiss her in the rain.

Don't you make her cry,
Cos if you do I'm gonna know,
Stop your cheating ways,
Let your heart get out and go,
Don't you make her cry,
Her tears are always clear,
Stop breaking her gentle heart,
If you do I'm gonna be near.

Now she's gone and you're not sorry,
You wish that she could go,
She's all around him everywhere,
Her heart holds on,I know.
She'll follow him forever,
Until her dying day,
I watch him from my window,
As I softly slip away.
