Your apologies-
Nothing but the words of a heartless soul,
Give meaning
To the lies I have been told.

Words of love,
And of grace
They make one’s heart tremble,
With feelings of dismay.

Work together,
In hopes of saving us,
End it now
For it wasn’t merely lust.

Your apologies meant nothing,
Your words to be true.
It all came crashing down
When you knew, I knew.

You came to me and told me
“It wasn’t what it seemed.”
You argued and fought,
“It was just a misunderstanding.”

Apologies, Apologies,
That is all I hear.
You promised to change,
But only in fear.

“Things will change.”-
You promise and swear.
“Believe me, I know.
For I am no longer there.”
