A dark hollow feeling
The honey has run dropless dry
And I assume I’ve done you wrong
Though I’m the one left to cry
Take my hand in your bloody one
Portray someone that weeps
But in the end you’re the only one
Who gets any sleep
Mercilessly you plague my mind
Bitterly taunt my every thought
And if you searched me I think you’d find
Every answer that you sought
Your lips whisper temping words
I must remind myself that you are an illusion
For your sweet promises are absurd
Reality must filter my hearts pollution
Is it ironic how I ask you to come to my rescue
When you’re responsible for this torture
And my walls continue to test you
But how you make it over them I’m not sure
Blissful smile, please never fade
I won’t let my mascara run
My bruised lips won’t seal my fate
I won’t grieve over the done
So my angel, I stand in your wings’ shade
Blessed with a kiss of misery
Followed your sounds as you bade
Sewn as your most loyal delivery
You’re the only soul that can
Tear away the curtain and let in the light
But until you become that man
My life will forever remain as night
Eyes red rimmed like rose petals
Can’t say I love you, you won’t accept it
But these emotions refuse to settle
And I’m too scared of being rejected
So let me hang on your candle stick
I’ve got nothing to loose or gain
I’ll burn out with this simple wick
