Small Town Story

She's living in a small town
Just a bunch of foolish sluts
And the guys all think they're the class clown
She gets offered a cigarette
Hopes the crowd will take her in
Used to be a religious girl
Now they call her the Goddess of sin
Used to watch the cute cartoons
Used to laugh at Bugs Bunny
Now the tar stains on her teeth
The only thing she finds funny

She's living in a small town
Just a bunch of troubled boys
And the girls that spread the rumors around
She gets offered some tiny pill
Unaware of the side effects
Used to be such a clean girl
Now she thinks she can't live without sex
Used to laugh at the skaters
As they trip and feel onto the street
Now the only thing that's falling down
Are her hopes as they freeze up like concrete

Just because people are there
You can still feel all alone
And the noise it means nothing
Like an argument in a broken home

Just because you can hear her scream
Doesn't mean that she's alive
You have to stay clear of the paths
That may cause your future to die
