My hand brushes gently across her cheek
Our hearts playing hide and seek
My finger glances softly her ear
I continue my quest without any fear
The quiet tapping of the rain
Leaves only one thought in my brain
Her nervous look of anticipation
Adds to my own hesitation
Closing my eyes her face fades away
Leaving only her scent to guide my way
Our lips meet softly slightly askew
This moment in time frozen just for us two
As our lips unlock from this sweet embrace
A smile creeps across her face
Our fist kiss we just shared
I soon wake up no one is there
Disappointed by my own dream
Who is this girl I've only seen
Seen in my mind late at night
When all is lost and there is no light
I know she's real she has to be
The girl I see while I'm asleep
