The Reoccuring Image

The transparency of his figure,
The unrecognized voice that's a linger.
The tingling of breath touching skin
Is only a feeling within.
I wake and you're gone,
As I listen to the silencing dawn
And wait for you to reappear.
Close my eyes, again you're near.
The deepness of your blue eyes.
Looking into them reminds me of the skies-
They're so flawless and never-ending,
I could stare forever and never find the beginning.
Then your gentle lips brush up against mine,
Sending me a feeling that's so divine.
My eyes open once again,
Replaying the unhappy end
Of you leaving my side,
Which to myself, I lied.
I said that I'd never wake again just to be with you,
After all, you're only a dream that will never come true.
