"Searching For Lost Souls"

I wanna be sedated
Better yet, slowly cremated
I feel so washed up and faded
Ive become all the things i hated
Such a sign of the times
Or at least thats what i find

Walking down a long road
My shadow is somewhat taller than my soul
I cant help but hear the wind whisper a soft melody
And it sends a chill through me
Like a wave crashing on the shore
Crawling back, and then begging for more

The blood runs down, down to my toes
And my true colors are starting to show
Ive been searching my soul
Searching for what they stole
Searching for my girl
And the new world
But all i found was an empty hole
And its so damn cold

My heart beats, beats in its cage
And slowly the old man turns his page
I'm left to stare in awe and rage
Dreaming of some new age
Where time opens up, and swallows the earth
Maybe then we will find some self worth
To make it somehow work
Before they lay us in the dirt

The blood runs down, down to my toes
And my true colors are starting to show
Ive been searching my soul
Searching for what they stole
Searching for my girl
And the new world
But all i found was an empty hole
And its so damn cold

Walking down a long road
My shadow is somewhat taller than my soul
I cant help but hear the wind whisper a soft melody
And it sends a chill through me
Like a wave crashing on the shore
Crawling back, and then begging for more
And i scream to the old man
Where is the new land
Why wont you help me?
He just said "nobody loves you" cant you see
"This is the lunatic fringe"
"So lets cheer for sweet revenge"
"Now run, run as fast as you can"
"Your girl is waiting in the new land"

The blood runs down, down to my toes
And my true colors are starting to show
Ive been searching my soul
Searching for what they stole
Searching for my girl
And the new world
But all i found was an empty hole
And its so damn cold

Walking down a long road
My shadow is somewhat taller than my soul
I cant help but hear the wind whisper a soft melody
And it sends a chill through me
Like a wave crashing on the shore
Crawling back, and then begging for more
