i sit and stare at the stars
and think about how close we are
think about all of the fears
and think about all of the tears
i think about all of the easy and hard times
think about all of the funny rhymes
and wonder why
why you chose me
out of all of the people on the land and in the sea
but then i realized that you didn't have to choose
because we are soul mates
we are sisters
not only by blood
but also by heart
