This magickal night

The candles are lit and are put in their place
As she stands between them her heart starts to race,
Slowly he watches her and sends her a smile
Suddenly she knows that the ritual is worthwhile.

They stand within the circle, stood face to face
Their bodies mould together in a perfect embrace,
Skin upon skin, She binds them together
hoping the spell will give them forever.

He lays her down on Mother Nature’s bed
Sweet kisses, long stares of expressions unsaid,
Husband and wife, they make love in the grass
holding these moments as if it were their last.

She clings to him tightly, the ending is near
Her body starts to shake as her hopes turn to fear,
”I’ll love you forever” his voice starts to fade
His last kiss on her tummy for the baby they just made.

Slowly she watches him as his body disappears
Her face filled with sadness and uncontrolled tears,
for the spell gave him rebirth, this moment she’ll treasure
her baby his gift from their last night of pleasure.

She looks up to the sky, at stars that shine bright
the forest filled with wonder from this magickal night,
She gives thanks to the gods, and bids them farewell
closing the circle, that completes the spell.
