Even though I had you out of my head
I erased every thought I had of you
I shut down, it was all dead

You were the one clouding my mind
You were ALWAYS there
But, I had to stop it all
Because you just don't care

So I lied, you do care,
But, you don't care in the same way
When I take one step closer
You take one further away

You won't let me get close to you
You just won't let me in
God this isn't at all fair
For once I just want to win.

I want to win you over
I wish you'd to feel the same
I'd give anything for that
Even fortune and fame.

I'd stop time for just a moment
If you would feel the same way I do
I'd get lost in that very moment
Right then and there with you.

We would hold each other close
In our tight embrace
Then time would all come back
With everything right in place

But cute things like that
Only happen in fairy tales
Where there are struggles with love
But no matter what it always prevails

My life is not a fairy tale
And sadly, it never will be
That means I won't get a fairy tale ending
You won't ever REALLY love me
