I CLOSE MY EYES

I close my eyes
To enter into a world
Many cannot see
I close my eyes to enter a world
That any dream can be

I stop my breath
To ease down
To a place unseen
To a place
Reality is not keen
Could this place be true?
For it is everything
I can dream of, even you

I lay down
The pillow resting upon my head
As an un-jeweled crown
My throne satin and silk
A cream white
Color of milk
Outlined in a black solid wood
As perfectly carved as one could

Day gone to night
Came so quick
No time to struggle or fight
The world shut out by the closing
Of a solid door
Laid down into a dirt floor

Covered by the dead and decayed
Apart of me whishing above
I could have stayed
But knowing
I would soon have had to be going

I close my eyes
To enter into a world
Many cannot see
I close my eyes to enter a world
That any dream can be
