I have lost my love today
He said he loved me and walked away
Tears falling from my eyes
I didn’t want to say goodbye
Looking at the blank piece of paper
Wondering how my actions affected
The way things ended
The outcome of us
The dying heart
The bleeding trust
Alone again as I walk down the street
My skirt blowing freely
My watch reads 9:00
But that doesn’t make it stopped
Late night phone calls
Lost again

The seconds are racing
These minutes are slow
The taste of your lips
Linger on mine
