I Have This Strange Disease

It’s coming again, I can feel it
This disease without a name
Wish there was a cure, there isn’t
If you have it, you feel the shame
It isn’t something you can tell your friends
It isn’t something you can explain
The doctor won’t have any prescription
That could sooth this eating pain

Doctor, help me please
I have this strange disease
Can’t fight it or deny it
If you have anything, I’ll buy it

Like something gray
Painting you on the inside
And no matter how hard you fight it
It refuses to subside
Feels like you don’t actually exist
Like watching life through a T.V.
At the end of the day you’re wondering
If you really believe what you see

Doctor, help me please
I have this strange disease
And this smile on my face
It will soon replace

I’m coughing up blood now
No, not another shot
There’s nothing that can stop it
It’s something that can’t be fought
I wish another colour would
Fill my veins and skin
But all I can feel is black and white
Slowly creeping in

Doctor, help me please
I have this strange disease
My body is now fully gray
Please pull the plugs out today
