In a world of lost and confused
Could you stand back up if you
Became the abused?
Could you stand in front of the pain?
To make sure another does not have to.
Could you ever hold in your tears
Stand against your inner most fears
And fight back knowing it may all be in vain?
In a world of hope and religion
Could you ever believe even a smidgen?
Of what a empty building
And a book has to say
When it is you who walks
The paths of today?
In a world of guns and knives
Could you ever take innocent lives?
To simply stay alive
Another day?
In a world of sticks and stones
Could you break your bones
And not scream allowed?
Could you look to the sky past the
Lost blue covered grey cloud
In a world of found and understanding
Would you abide by your binding?
Would you know what to do
When there is no reason to
Look for clues, to look for answers
Would you know what to make of a life handed to you?
