Victim of Love

Take away the make-up and all the pretty clothes
And underneath is the girl she loathes
She tries to hold it all inside

Lovely them won't leave her mind
She left him, but not behind
Listen to her cry

She doesn't care about the snide little whispers behind her back
Even though it doesn't show, cofidence she doesn't lack
Like smiling is gonna take away all the hurt and pain

Till the music drowns out her cry
To that fatal question she'll fail to reply
Life WAS like a photograph

And the guy she loves might not be her last
But her previous ones belong to the past
It's hard to talk to him as just a friend

All she wanted was to be considered his only
She's so tired of being lonely
Still so young desperate for attention

She pushes him away because she second guesses
She doesn't wanna break another heart; especially his
Beautiful but deadly

Being a victim of love was never an option for her
But even the simplest truths were never pure
On the Brink of something beautiful
