Not As Happy As I Should Be

She left her small home at eighteen
To go to college in a brochure she'd seen
She decided she had to fulfill her dreams
As confusing as life may seem
She was there for a year and realized she didn't quite belong
She wondered why did she leave home, where did she go wrong
Crying her way home she said I'm not as happy as I should be
Questioning why didn't I see it before this life just isn't for me
She finally met a boy and decided she was in love
There were taken into marriage with a violent shove
Right went left and left went downhill
She thought she was happy but felt like she was standing still
Stuck in the same routine as time flys away
She was fine with it all until the very day
When she cried I'm not as happy as I should be
Why didn't I see it before this life just isn't for me
After all is said and done she moved away from that little town
Determined to find a suitable life, destiny bound
