Distorted Times

Controlling environment
Could we break through
Clouds of music
Surrounding our perception’s green

Compelling eloquent beauty
A fist raised onto the floor
Razed our mindless mockery
Seemingly red, and nothing more

Take a look around
Everything can bend
But shining this profound
It will never do again

Wisdom whispering
The words I wanna hear
But make it near, my dear
The time for we are here

Tents enstrangling the ground
Of this ancient town
Let the music flow, before we go
Fighting for the master’s crown

This labyrinth of colors
Floating through my mind
Flashing ever more distorted
In space, in love and time

It could’ve been me
Running on a long forgotten highway
And I remember thee,
Thou were the days
That filled my mind with your embrace

The words you said
Have turned me sad
And they got me thinking

“We’re born too late
It is our fate
Let’s just keep on drinking"
