I said it a thousand times,
never breaking through
I worked my way under your skin,
just to get to you
I traveled far and wide for this,
but it was all in vain
Asking nothing in return
but truth for this pain
I reached out my hand to you,
but I was refused
I broke barriers to get here,
but now I'm just confused
You placed weights on my back
You broke my wings
You selfishly asked for all,
and so I gave you everything
Amidst my anger and my rage
I loved you through and through
I broke my back and spared some tears
but never got to you
I lost my innocense
following you on every whim
I responded to your every demand
waiting for love to begin
But the separation and the faults
were too much to conceive
I showered you with love and care
just so you could up and leave
I gave in to you, you gave none
You let nothing break my fall
Your love for me surpasses many
but could not conquer all
