Smudging

Stranger hold my hand
Friends lets gather in the circle
Bless the space
With sweet grass, cedar and sage
Free yourself from the space
Open your ears
Hear and accept
Open your eyes
Be completely open
Can you feel yourself drifting?
Balancing
Spiritually and physically
Purifying?
Stranger you cradle my hand
Like I am equal
With love but no desire
Stranger squeeze my fingers
Sing along with me
“I am no one’s slave”
Sing with me
“I am no one’s master”
Bring the scent to your nose,
Your eyes,
Your mind,
Your mouth
We flow down a steady river
Easy flowing
Lazy like dogs
Sleeping on the job..
