I miss you like crazy
And I still wish you were here
To help me smile again
To wipe away my tears

I sit by the phone
And hope that you will call me
To hear your gentle voice once more
Would help cure the pain completely

I lie in bed at night
And think of the memories we’ve had
I promise if I had the chance to relive them
I would relive the good and the bad

I close my eyes
And say a simple prayer
Asking God to keep you safe
To tell you “I love you” knowing you’re there

I have no question of where you may be
I have no doubt that you’re looking down upon me
Because I know that when you took your last breath
That God was on your mind, in your heart, in your chest

So Papa when you left me
When you spread you wings and flew
I knew you were flying to Heaven
Into the beautiful sky so blue
