"It's Hard To Not Exist"

Slowly we rode
Down the long dark road
Into the nightmarish abyss
Carrying nothing but a wish
And in the seventh hour
We came up on a figure of a tower
So we climbed from the car and walked across the barren land
To meet the man
That would show us the way
But when we did he had only one thing to say
Where is the rain?
For without it im going insane
Then he pointed west
And pounded on his chest
Before he faded into the darkness
So we left
And back in the car
We hadnt went to far
Before we came upon a terrible crash
The flames swirled and flashed
There must have been eight or nine
Bodies lying in a line
It was a blow to the mind
For we started thinking of time
And being lost behind
Without a sign
To find
The right door
Back to where we were before
Someone whispered the keys im sure are locked in the stars
So we swam oh so far
Leaving our hearts
Back at where we had started
For they only ruined the fun
And just as we had passed the sun
We all died
For it was just our time
Guess we had expanded our mind
To the farthest point behind the eyes
And so we faded into the hellish night
And to think we had just gone out for a ride
Who would have thought death would be what we would find
Such a strange twist
Its hard to not exist
