Loving in an L.I.E.

Break me down into a lifeless matter
As I down the last drink, thoughts begin to scatter
And your so called denial is no worse than my thoughts of happiness
You're still mine even after all this

You wipe away those days like dirt off your shoulder
Is it possible, you could've been a little colder
Smiling like nothing is wrong is easier said than done
Pretending is harder than it looks, you know that Hun

And I light this candle as your last request
This is the last you'll see me at your best
Bitterness thats a new feeling for the vengeful
Just give back my heart and all the little pieces you stole

And that polite little smile of mine won't last too long
We ignore the the fact that it's hate, knowing it's wrong
This boy got the best of my heart
I'm tearing everything piece and part

Really I fell too had for you to recover from the pain
I've lost everything there was to lose and have nothing left to gain
And that thing we called love was nothing more than an L.I.E.
Lets face it there never was a "we"
