I can't even speak the words
that uproot themselves within.
Each and every bird that flies
with ease across this ocean;
And fly until their wings no longer
have the strength to carry them.
Down, they sink into a pit
of meaningless sorrow;
Miscontrued into oblivion.
Newcomers quickly take their place
and follow the same path to destruction,
Never to be heard of again,
not one single soul will
pass through the thoughts of you.
You remain seated at the right
hand of ignorance;
Longing not, retrieving nothing.
While I am forced to sit and watch,
a gag tightly bound across these lips.
