Black nail polish and cheap cigarettes
just how messed up can you get?

Tight pants and low cut shirts
thinking thats how you cover up what hurts.

Tons of makeup and being drunk at bars
masks your misery and masks your scars.

The risks you take and always lying
hides that underneath you're really crying.

Hurting the ones you love and pushing them away
they wanna know whats wrong, but you'll never say.

The pain you deal with and having it hurt this bad
its eating away at you, its driving you mad.

The made up excuses and brief family encounters
make it easy for you to not give in or surrender.

You figure you'll deal and move on with life
its just a phase that'll pass you say, it'll be alright.
