The girl in black

The girl in black stares out to sea
Her face hidden by a veil
As silent tears roll down her cheeks
Everyday the girl in black stands by that waters edge

The waves cry to her
A distant shipwreck calls her
Speaking her name
Softly in the salty breeze
Beckoning her closer
She longs for her long lost life
Lost among the waves
Smashed against the rocks

Her ghost
It sings softly
A song of her past childhood
A quiet lullaby
To lie her soul to rest
In the depths of the sea
