Should’ve Been

Do you remember our place?
I went there today.
It looked so different
It looked so plain.
It wasn’t the same.

So many things have changed.
For the first time
I felt so alone
not being there with you.

I’ve been trying
trying to feel anything.
But everything I feel
comes back to you.

I had known you so long
it was hard to let you go.
I miss you today
I miss you tomorrow
I’ll miss you till I die.

Then we’ll be together again
Just the way we should’ve been.
