She's terrified to let you see her.
Terrified to let you see how she really feels.
"What if he's like everyone else?"
"What if all he wants to do is hurt me?"
No can reassure her enough..
That you aren't.
But all her friends telling her you're a great guy
Is not helping.
She's still scared.
She's been hurt so many times..
She just expects it to happen every time.
We try and we try,
To change her mind.
But nothing can take away her pain.
All the pain she's already felt.
So no one can tell her it won't happen again.
And if they try, she'll scream and yell.
But only because she's scared,
And those memories return when you tell her that.
And it hurts. And she's so scared.
She knows it will happen again,
Nothing lasts forever.
But it would be better if this lasted longer.
She tries so hard
Not to let her evil memories shatter her hope..
But that doesn't mean they won't.
So, when she gets scared and runs..
She's only looking to find the hope she lost.
She'll be back as soon as she finds it
