My Beautifully Stomped On Heart Writes This For you

Silly me for kissing you like it would last
I should've known you would eventually become a part of my past
Stupid me for trying to deny the inevitable
Now you're just another name on my list of regrettables

Here I sit writing you this poem
Knowing that finally your true colors had shone
The feeling of emptiness does not partake
Because being with you was completely fake

Those promises you made are disappearing into thin air
In this game of heartbreak nothings fair
But I'll keep smiling and posing like we're doing great
Cause being fake is my minds favorite state

I'll whisper those sweet little I love yous into your ear
While only me and you can see the lies that ring all to clear
And you'll stick around for this good girl to claim
Cause honey we were all about smiles and fame

And while our friends say how cute we look
They only read the front cover of our book
Sad to say this story had no fairy tale ending
And if this is about you, it's not worth sending
