"The Angels And Devils"

The angels and devils wage this battle evermore
Theres something scary about this place
A screaming heed to whats in store
Dancing in the moonlit nights, buried in time and space
We're all idle with our threats
And active with our battle cries
Laced with anger and mostly regrets
Our eyes revealing the truth that fills our lies
We only wonder where we're going
And fear the honesty
That we receive, false in its growing
The doubt that plagues the mind
Surely will soon be washed from our hearts
And we'll move into more emptiness that follow our crimes
Hiding in the vagueness of life, playing our usual part
With our bitter rants and unbridled hate
We'll rival the ancient rebels
Who chose their acceptance of fate
Choosing not to be lost in the fight, but to stare in awe of the angels and
devils
Who must swallow this war
And cope with its casualties
But we must implore
Why do humans bathe in indecency
And cowardly acts
Do they not know they are alive
On the ancient tracks
Through life into the night
To which death rises with the sun
And more days follow the apocalyptic cycle
The angels and devils wage this battle evermore
Theres something scary about this place
Screaming warnings of whats in store
Dancing in the moonlit nights, buried in time and space
We're lost on the empty highway
Cornered by fear, released into the god's core
And we must realize
The soul only escapes through the eyes
